hi, i’m rachel – a photographer with a soft spot for the intense.i’m based in sunderland, england, and i work across two main spaces:
☆ music photography - capturing raw energy and delivering photographs with an edge. i shoot live sets and promo material, offering visuals that match the sound.
☆ contemporary work - exploring identity and womanhood through reference to fairytales, dreams, and whatever is haunting me currently.my work is feelings-first. i care about capturing moments, whether choatic or calm, soft or screaming. i like imagery that sits with you, even if you don’t know why.i started out in film; the weird and personal kind. i was always more drawn to stories about identity, feelings, the unspoken words between people. these themes stuck with me, even if the medium shifted. everything i make is about feeling something– even if that feeling is a little too honest, too difficult, and ends up looking a little bit surreal.outside of the camera, i’m likely listening to something loud, watching something weird, or deep in a project that keeps me up at night. i love collaboration, curiosity, and creating things that matter.open to commissions, collabs and conversation.
